And the Tag goes on...

Lets see.. looks like Nick tagged me for this one.....

List five songs that you are currently digging - it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions and the five songs (with artist) in your blog. Then tag five people to see what they're listening to.

1. Jully Black - Sweat off the Brow
2. Statler Brothers - I'll Go to my Grave Loveing You (I shall always be diggin' this song)
3. Toby Keith - As Good as I Once Was
4. Kalan Porter - In Spite of it All (yeah, I actually do like that song)
5. Rightous Brothers - Unchained Melody (this is my always was, always will be, all time favorite song)

Ok.. now, who to tag...
1. Caligirl
2. Frankie
3, Champ (just cuz I bet his picks would be good)
4. SteveBeairsto (just for the hell of it)
5. Kratz (just cuz I haven't seen him in a while)

Simpsons Trivia
Nobody even tried to get this one.... the answers were... Krusty can ride a bike again, and the quote belonged to none other than Homer Simpson

I don't feel like doing up a question, so here's some quotes.. I'll keep up with the theme of the post, and give you five of 'em....

"..If you got hurt or died, despite the extra attention I'd receive, I'd miss you."
"Doctors are idiots. You can 'ching-ching-ching' cash in on this tragedy."
"English? Who needs that? I'm never going to England."
"Marge's dates get homlier all the time."
"The church receiveth, and the church taketh away."

End of Summer Already??

Well, it's August, and Old Home Week will be unofficially starting next weekend.. the midway will be up and running, probably by thursday... and I think the shows begin on Saturday, but I could be wrong... for me, though.. the most fun is the Gold Cup Parade.. this year, it falls on the 19th.. I've done up a little counter to keep track of the days till the parade.. it's not exactly the way I wanted it, but hey.. it works..

Can't wait till Old Home Week!!
Daisypath Ticker

No, I'm not going to be in the parade this year, as I have in the past.. tried to, though.. my work was going to put in a float, but didn't get it together in time... oh well.. always next year I guess... it's more fun to watch than be watched when it comes to parades, though... I'll have to be sure my cameras have new batteries.. because I'll be sure to take lots of pictures... I fouled up last year, as the batteries died in the camera almost as soon as the parade started... I intend to be prepared this year.... and, I intend to ride the ferris wheel, and other rides, if they let me... *G*

Simpsons Trivia
Nobody got either answer... the Stonecutters rig every Oscar night, the quote belongs to none other than Bart Simpson himself.

Today's Simpson Trivia Question:

The Beginning of the End

So, Friday afternoon, me and Al were talking about how to get my mom's new(to her) computer up and running, when my phone rings, and his phone rings at the same time.. we were both being told the same thing.. TURN ON THE NEWS.... top sotry was this.....
-------------------------------------
As posted on cbc.ca on Friday, July 29, 2005:
Three years after Chrystal Beairsto's body was found just off the Confederation Trail in Charlottetown, police are following a new lead in her murder.

Police say they have identified what they call a primary person of interest, one man who has been moved to the top of their list of suspects.

"Through the investigation, the evidence and forensic testing that has been conducted, a combination of all three, we have identified a primary person of interest," says Charlottetown deputy police chief Richard Collins.

"We are going back and tracking the movements and contacts of this individual."

Collins says the man, now in his early 40s, was living on the Island at the time of the murder but has since moved away.

"There is something substantive there that we feel makes it worthy to concentrate on this one individual and do this at a feverish pace," he says.

"We still have probably upwards of two months work ahead of us before we can really say unequivocally whether this person will continue to be of interest to us."

Three years of investigation have led to a lot of evidence for police to sort through. Police put up posters with pictures of Beairsto's clothing and bicycle, leading to hundreds of tips, but no witnesses.

Recently, a trail which seemed to be turning cold became warm once again. Police have four officers concentrating on finding new evidence about their primary person of interest.

"We're looking at when he was living here, his movements, his contacts, both from personal, family nature, work nature, any involvement he may or may not have had with the victim," says Collins.

They're also comparing what they know about him, with a behavioural profile prepared by police experts.

Police say they have further interviews to conduct, further investigations to pursue and further forensic testing to complete. They feel they should know in a couple of months whether there's enough evidence to lay a charge, or whether to rule out this man as a suspect.

Chrystal Beairsto was 23 when she was stabbed to death, and the mother of two children.
----------------------------------------------
I can't help but feel that this is the start of something big.. perhaps we're finally reaching the end of the road on this.. I mean, three years really isn't all that long.. but it seems really long... then again, it doesn't seem all that long ago that she and I were riding the Gravitron, and she was laughing at me cuz my boobs were hitting me in the face.... *L* that was three weeks before she died... I'm trying not to get my hopes up, because something like this may never be solved, but if this is the end, I can wait a few more months... my only wants is to be there every day of the trial.. I want to look the person in the eye... I don't need to say anything... I just want to look them in the eye... and try to see what the hell was going on in their head that day... to try and see why they felt the need to take her life... I don't think I'll ever understand... and I hope that I can forgive someday... but I think that one is a long time coming... in the meantime, I can be glad that the day is coming, and justice will be served.... and that's something I don't have a problem waiting for.....
